Virginia Hicks Vogt

Virginia Wilson Hicks King Vogt, departed this world on April 3, 2025, at the age of 87.

Born in Bristol, Virginia, to the late Claude and Willie Hicks, she was a beloved daughter, dedicated mother, and skilled professional who found fulfillment in her work as a welder in helping to make the Patriot missile at Raytheon. She was a member of Wheeler United Methodist Church.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Ed King, 2nd husband, Ed Vogt and daughter, Gina King.

Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Anita King (Jason Atwood), who carries on her legacy. Virginia's kindness and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many around her, making her a beloved figure in her community.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday on April 17th, 2025 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park (formerly East TN Funeral Home) 2630 Hwy 75 Blountville, TN 37617 with Pastor Tony Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm, prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park.
