Vivian Pectol Robinson, 89, of Kingsport passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
Vivian was born and lived all her life in Sullivan County, graduating from Blountville High School. She retired from the Sullivan County Clerk's Office after 30 plus years. Vivian enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, animals, her cat, her bird and her Mafair United Methodist Church Circle of friends. She also enjoyed watching UT basketball games and reading, especially her morning paper. Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was dearly loved by her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and her special friend, Eva Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Rhea C. Robinson, Sr.; parents Kate and Thomas Pectol; son Gary Hugh Robinson; grandson William Joseph "Bill" Robinson and brother T.H. Pectol.
Survivors include her son Rhea C. Robinson, Jr. and wife, Linda of Piney Flats; grandson John Rhea Robinson of Kingsport; great grandchildren, John Taylor Robinson, Cassandra Rhea Robinson, Zoë Marie Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Friday, June 24, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Kim Goddard officiating.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors and staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center and a special thanks to the caring staff of Broadmore Assisted Living at Bristol.
