Wanda Gaye Cassell

Wanda Gaye Cassell, 52, of Nickelsville, VA passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Bristol Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Wanda will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Nadine Stevens; husband, Michael Cassell; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Her survivors include daughter, Jessica Alarcon and husband, Eduardo; sons, Michael Cassell and fiancée, Shaila, Jeffery Cassell and wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Eduardo Alarcon, Allyson Alarcon, and Raelynn Cassell who will arrive in August of 2022; sisters, Norma Stevens, Brenda Stevens; along with several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Preacher Mack Daugherty officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Parks Family Cemetery in Nickelsville, VA at 12 noon. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Those wishing to attend the graveside service should gather at the cemetery by 11:45 a.m.
