Wanda Ferguson

Mary Wanda Ferguson, 80, of Fall Branch died Thursday (December 4, 2014) at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Sullivan County, she had resided in Fall Branch most of her life. Wanda was a Baptist. She loved her family and enjoyed working in her garden and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Ferguson; parents, James P. and Jessie Simpson; three brothers, one sister; and special friend, James, "Sambo" Cox.

Wanda is survived by one son, Basil John Ferguson and wife, Norma "Tootie" of the home; three grandsons whom she adored, Josh and wife, Jenny, Jeremy and wife, Kathy, and Joe and wife, Jessica; three great-grandsons, Levi, Elijah, and Boone; one sister, Buena Morelock, of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jamie Cox, Gracie Cox, Tim Cox, Heath Cox, and Tammy Yakley and husband, Rex.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 2 pm on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch Chapel, with Rev. Vic Wallace officiating.

Burial will follow in Lighthouse Church Cemetery.
