Wanda Isabell McCamy Parton

.Wanda Isabell McCamy Parton, 83, of Jonesborough went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at home following an extended illness.

She was the daughter of the late Moody McCamy and Nannie Caldwell McCamy Conkin.

Mrs. Parton retired from Life Care Center of Gray. She loved cooking, gardening, flowers, and mostly her grandchildren. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

Isabell was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Parton; children, William Melvin Parton, Jr., Ruby Server, Jack Parton, and Louise Barron; sons-in-law, Clinton Ryans and Elbert Barron, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by daughters, Betty Ryans of Jonesborough and Shirley (Bobby) Greene of Loudon; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Parton; grandchildren, Timmy (Debbie) Moody, Jimmy (Robin) Moody, Debbie Parton, Mike (Violet) Barron, Mitzi (Dave) McConnell, Phillip (April) Ryans, Amy (Scott) Honeycutt, and Angie (Mitch) Lester; thirteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Roberts and Lonnell Crawford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at any time at the home and from 6 to 8 pm on Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The service will follow at 8 pm with Rev. Joe Roberts and Rev. Danny Willis officiating.

The graveside service will be at 11 am on Saturday at Lighthouse Church Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Angela Merryfield and nurse, Connie, Dr. Tariq Haddadin and nurse, Carolyn, Amedisys Home Health, and Amedisys Hospice.
