Wanda Lauderback Snodgrass

Wanda Virginia Lauderback Snodgrass was born in Albany, Tennessee, June 25, 1921, and died Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012.

She was the daughter and second child of William Logan Lauderback and Nell Inez Harmon Lauderback. She graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and was married to Charles Sidney Snodgrass for fifty-nine years until his death in 1998. They resided in Kingsport until 1971 when they moved to Mt Carmel. She was a deeply committed Christian and the consummate homemaker and mother.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Harmon Lauderback and Lynn Myers Lauderback.

She is survived by three sons, Duane Sidney Snodgrass, Phil Charles Snodgrass, and Klyne Ryland Snodgrass; one brother, J. Klyne Lauderback; eight grandchildren, and twenty great-grand children.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport Saturday, November 24, 2012, from 12-2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Klyne Snodgrass, Rev. Greg Lauderback and Rev. Will Lauderback officiating. Music will be provided by Eddie Lauderback and Jerry Crain. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
