Wayne Elliott Tincher, of Kingsport, passed away (Saturday July 23rd, 2016) at Indian Path Medical Center.
Wayne was born in Morganton, North Carolina but has lived in Kingsport most of his life.
He retired from Tennessee Eastman after 32 years of service. Wayne and his wife Carolyn met very early in high school and were inseparable from then on. For over 52 years Carolyn was the love his life and since her passing in February last year, his life has not been complete. It brings the family comfort to know that they are together again.
He loved his wife, kids and grandkids, who were his greatest joy. He enjoyed working in his yard, and watching his grandkids play ball.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his: parents, James and Beulah Mae Tincher, two sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by two daughters: Terri Broyles and husband Richard of Oak Ridge, and Vickie Mays and husband, David of Kingsport; two sons, Chris Tincher and fiancée, Lisa of Kingsport, and Mark Tincher and wife, Shanna of Kingsport; six grandchildren, Jesi Powers, Heather Donihe and husband, Matt, Haley Price and husband Derek, Madison Tincher, Mason Tincher and McKinley Tincher; one great grandchild, Chase Donihe; and three nephews.
Per his wishes, a private family service to honor Wayne will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the Sullivan County Animal Shelter.
