Douglas Wayne Moneyhun, 65, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday August 11, 2012.

Born in Sullivan County he has lived in Kingsport most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from Tennessee Eastman Company. Wayne asked Jesus in to his heart and saved his soul in 1984. He served the Lord as song leader and a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist in Surgoinsville.

He loved to ride his motorcycle and spend time with his family, even if it was just to talk. He gave of himself to others by helping any way he could in time and deed.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Annie Moneyhun; brothers, Harvey, Bobby and Elmer Moneyhun; nephew, John Mark Moneyhun

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Anita Moneyhun; daughter, Renee Wallace and husband Brian; son, Kirk Moneyhun and wife Yolanda; three grandchildren, Logan Wallace, Caleb Moneyhun, and Bailey Moneyhun; three sisters, Joan Doran and husband Ray, Glenna Herron and Susie Williams; three brothers, Tommy Moneyhun and wife Janis, Billy Moneyhun and wife Judy, Dan Moneyhun and wife Delores; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Surgoinsville. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jessee Hartgrove and Rev. Gary Calhoun officiating.

Military graveside rites will be conducted at 12noon Wednesday in the Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the American Legion Posts # 3/265.
