Wendy Dawn Jones Bailey, 45, wife of Rob Bailey for 23 years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Mrs. Bailey was born April 4, 1967 in Kingsport. She was an alumnus of the University of Tennessee and an avid UT Volunteer fan. She worked as a case manager with social services. She loved to draw and garden and enjoyed coaching her girls in various sports. Her Christian walk included teaching Sunday school and youth groups with her husband Rob at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church in Maryville, Tenn. and at West Colonial Heights Baptist Church in Kingsport where she was honored to share Christ with the people of Belize during a mission trip. She was a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church. Her artistry included creating dolls that were donated to the Cancer Center at the U.T. Medical Center for Children.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Jessica Bailey, Ashley Bailey and Grace Bailey; father, Mickey Jones and wife Joy; mother, Judy Archer and husband, Gene; and a sister, Missy Matlock.
Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes with a celebration of Wendy's Life to start at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Dr. Charles Sullivan.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
