Wesley "Wes" Alan Minga

Wesley “Wes” Alan Minga, 62, of Blountville, Tennessee, born on July 13, 1962, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Bristol, Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joe D. Minga; brother-in-law, David Shadeed; and best friend, Kyle Minor, Jr.

Wes is survived by his mother, Norma Huffman Minga; brothers, Donald and Phillip (Suzanne); sister, Ellen (David) Shadeed; son, Joseph (Ryan) and daughter, Madison Minga “Squirrel”; nieces, Michaela Minga, Rachel Shadeed Keel (Tom); nephews, Michael Shadeed and Garrett Minga; and great nieces, Hannah, Kelsey and Megan Keel.

Wes graduated from Sullivan Central High School in 1980 and was a lifelong member of Blountville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed Tennessee football, oil painting, landscaping, Little Debbie snacks, finding treasures in others’ trash, and helping neighbors in need. He held various jobs over the years but will be most remembered for his kind heart and friendship.

Services will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Blountville United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center after the celebration of life. 

A private family graveside service will be held in the Garden of Devotion at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Blountville. 

In lieu of flowers, Wes would prefer everyone to be a “good listener” instead.
