Willa Dean Cox Pitt, 75, Greeneville, passed away Monday, September 24, 2007, at Life Care Center of Greeneville.
She was born in Greene County, Tennessee, to Floyd Cox and Maud Milhorn Cox. Her siblings were Louise Cox, Ruth Bowery, Opal Cox, Aldon Cox, Weldon Cox, and Howard Cox, all deceased.
Willa Dean married Delmar Pitt on December 15, 1956. Delmar went to be with the Lord in 1994. They had one son, Randy Pitt, who went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2001.
Randy had two children, Misty Burnell and Randy Pitt, Jr., who reside in Greene County, TN. She is also survived by two sisters, Hazel Baines and Bonnie Bruce; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Almeta Moore and Susan Charlton.
Willa Dean was a good neighbor who liked to help everyone and was loved by all her friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Sid Barkley officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery.
