Willavene G. Cox, Kingsport, died Saturday morning May 8, 2010 at Church Hill Health Care & Rehab.
She was a life-long resident of Kingsport. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.W. Cox; and her parents, A.K. and Sarah Depew Galloway.
Surviving are her sons, Gary Cox and wife, Phyllis, Homosassa, FL, Mark Cox, Kingsport, and Michael Cox and wife, Cynthia, Gate City, VA; five grandchildren, Leighann Linderman and husband, Bob, Mary Elizabeth Cox, Emily Palmer Cox, Elliott Walker Cox, and Mary Rachel Cox; step-granddaughter, Tierstan Nichole Bright and husband, Matt; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Gary Bement officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
