William "Bill" Baker, 81, Kingsport, went to join his wife Mildred in heaven on Saturday, April, 16, 2011.
He was born in Bell City, Missouri, and had resided most of his life in Kingsport with his wife of 44 years, Mildred. Bill loved fishing and watching the Atlanta Braves. He was a master brick and block mason who built numerous homes and churches throughout his career.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Baker, his parents, and three brothers.
Survivors include three daughters; Janie Velie and husband Greg, Kingsport, Vola Buczkowske and husband Mike, Blountville, Lisa Smith and husband John, Kingsport, five grandchildren; Timothy, Stephen, Joseph, Cody, Jonathan, and Madison, special sister-in-law, Roberta Rogers, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April, 18, 2011, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, or anytime at the home of his daughter, Lisa. Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Velie officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Velie, Timothy Velie, Greg Velie, Cody Buczkowske, Michael Buczkowske, Joseph Velie, John Smith, and Jonathan Smith.
