William Bowers Beasley
William Bowers ?Popeye? Beasley, Sr., 49, Kingsport, passed away Saturday morning January 27, 2007 in Weber City after an apparent heart attack.
?Popeye? was born in Jasper, Georgia, but had resided in Kingsport for the past eleven years. He was self-employed as a mechanic. Mr. Beasley was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Bert and Vera Beasley; and one brother, Hershel Beasley.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Darlene Beasley; three daughters, Starr Beasley, Kingsport, Misty Beasley, Blackwell, GA, and Jimmie Neeley, Mt. Carmel, TN; step-daughter, Samantha Bernard, Kingsport; three sons, Seth Beasley, Bobby Beasley, and Billy Beasley, all of Kingsport; and step-son, Dustin Hughes, Kingsport, TN; ten grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Beasley, Lavanda Parker, Juanita Raven, and Dorothy Beck, all of GA; and one brother, Franklin Stafford, GA.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Owens officiating.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
