William Blankenship

William "Mitch" Blankenship, 57, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 21, 2006 after a lengthy illness.

Mitch was a special gift from God who brought pleasure and blessings to many people's lives. He was known for his gentleness and his beautiful smile.

His mother, Joan Blankenship, and uncle, Bill Clark preceeded him in death.

Surviving are his sister, Kim DeLancey, Greenville; two nieces, Kristina and Angel DeLancey; one great-nephew, Jeremy DeLancey, all of Kingsport; two dear aunts, Hazel Clark, Church Hill and Daisy Blankenship, Kingsport; several cousins and other family members.

The family will recieve friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Hall officiating.

Burial will follow at Depew's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be U-Turn for Christ Men's Ranch of Greeneville, TN.
