William C. "Bill" Price

William C. "Bill" Price, 87, of Kingsport, joined his wife Betty Ann in heaven on Saturday, July 9, 2016 . Born June 25, 1929 in Johnson City, he attended Science Hill High School. Bill worked as an insurance adjuster for Gay & Taylor Insurance Co. for over 40 years. He was an active member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church as well as The Crusade Sunday School Class. Bill was a former president of the Kingsport Optimist Club. Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He enjoyed trout fishing in the mountains and deer hunting. Bill also enjoyed his retirement home on Boone Lake, but he loved his family most of all and lived his life for them.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Betty Ann Price; and beloved dog, Emma Lou.

Bill is survived by three daughters, Cindy Hickey and husband Dwight, of Thorsby, AL, Kim Pendleton and husband David, and Becky Vaughn and husband Rick; one son, Brad Price; ten grandchildren, Matthew, David, Ryan, Morgan, Taylor, Roger, Corey, Luke, Macie, and Madison; six great-grandchildren, Bella, Brooks, Marshall, Mason, Peyton, and Bryleigh; and goddaughter, Deceme Masweng.

The memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at First Broad Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Spurgeon McCartt and Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bridge Home No Kill Animal Shelter, 2061 Hwy 75, Blountville, Tennessee 37617.
