William Carmichael
William ?Bill? Carmichael, 57, Kingsport, died Sunday afternoon, June 17, 2007, at his home.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was baptized on May 6, 1951.
Bill was a graduate of Tennessee Military Institute. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and was a member of Hammond Post #3 of the American Legion.
Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Maude E. French.
Surviving are his mother, Martha Jane Carmichael, Kingsport; and a cousin, Dr. Walter E. Deyton, Asheville, NC.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. L. Craig Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grandfather Home for Children, P. O. Box 98, Banner Elk, NC 28604.
