William Arthur Condon

William "Bill" Condon, 62, Kingsport, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 29, 2011 at his home.

Bill graduated from Chico State College in California with a teaching credential. He taught in Round Mountain, Nevada; Guam; and El Centro, California, finishing his teaching career at the Calipatria State Prison, California.

He was a published poet and poetry has always been a part of his life.

Bill was proud of his relationship with the 11th Armored Cavalry, his brother-in-law's Viet Nam regiment.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneieve Condon; his father, Edward Condon; and his grandmother, Jenny Miller.

Bill is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Condon; son, Sean Patrick Condon; and granddaughter, Riley Shae Condon.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolen officiating.

Inurnment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to the St. Dominic Catholic School, 2517 John B. Dennis Hwy, Kingsport, TN 37660.
