William Henry Dean
Bill Dean, 95, of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Indian Path Medical Center.
He was born in Scott County, VA and had lived in Kingsport since his teens. Bill retired from Eastman Chemical after 37 years. He attended Mack Arnold's Holiness Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Wilson Dean, two daughters, one son, mother, father and two brothers.
He is survived by five daughters, Betty Bricky, Nancy Light, Judy Ball, Linda Hodges and Rose Dean; three sons, Jerry Dean, Jeff Dean and Billy Dean; 27 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Mae and Laura; three brothers, R. L., Herman and Sherman Dean; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 8, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 9, at 1 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with Rev. Chris Cody officiating.
Graveside service will follow the funeral service at Wilson Cemetery in Vernon Heights.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
