William W. Bill Fowler, 84, passed away November 27, 2011
Bill was born April 19, 1927, in Johnson City, Tennessee, son of the late G.R. Fowler Sr., and Maude Fowler. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marine Corp.and retired from Kingsport Press after 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Fowler, and a brother, G.R. Fowler, Jr.
Bill is survived by his wife, Winnie Rhoton Fowler; daughter, Gwen Fowler of Pensacola, Florida; two granddaughters, Laurel Blair and Carrie Peavy; grandson, Neal Blair and wife, Kristen; brother Jack Fowler and wife, Ruby of Paradise Valley, Arizona.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 29th at 12:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Echols officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church, 5824 Ft. Henry Drive, Kingsport, TN 37663.
