William T. (Bill) Hunt

William T. (Bill) Hunt, 46, died Monday, November 25, 2013, while on a pleasure tour in Peru, South America.

He was a graduate of Sullivan South High School. He had received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from South Alabama. Bill was an employee of International Paper since 1990. He had lived in Mobile, Alabama, Jay, Maine, and Memphis, Tennessee. He was a member of Big Brothers and he tutored for the GED program. Bill was an active member of the Baptist church in all the cities he lived in, as well as a French horn player in all the church orchestras. He was presently a member of the Orchard Fellowship in Collierville, TN. Bill wrote gratis band field shows in three states.

Bill is survived by his parents, James E. Hunt, Sr., and Patricia Hunt, Kingsport; sisters, Barbara Slay and husband, Dan, Norcross, GA, and Carol Neighbors and husband, Patrick, Chapel Hill, NC; brother, James E. Hunt, Jr. and wife, Cindy, McMinnville, TN; niece, Lauren Hunt; nephews, Josh and Jake Hunt, Danal and Kyle Slay, and Camden and Rowan Neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Colonial Heights Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. James E. Hunt, Jr. officiating.
