William "Mark" Hyatt, 45, of the Jearoldstown Community, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Washington County, Mark resided most of his life in Greene County and was a 1982 graduate of Daniel Boone High School.
Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elbert and Mildred Lucas Milburn; his paternal grandfather, William Hyatt, Jr.; father, William Karl Hyatt; and a special aunt, Judy Charlton.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dawn Bralley Hyatt of the home; two daughters, April Fitzwater and husband Jack of Kingsport, and Ashley Hyatt of the home; grandchild Casey Fitzwater; mother, Brenda Milburn Hyatt of Kingsport; grandmothers Iva Nell Milburn of Chuckey and Viola Hyatt of Johnson City; two aunts, Linda Darnell of Johnson City and Sandy Whitaker and husband Jack of Jonesborough; special uncle, Billy Charlton; and several special cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Bowers and Preacher Charles Senior officiating. Music will be provided by Keith Williams.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Milburnton United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Bailey and Rev. Richard Bowers officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Baxter, Charles Baxter, Ray Milligan, Jack Fitzwater, Chris Yokley, Kip Charlton, and Stacy Charlton. Honorary pallbearers will be John Fox, Brett Nave, Bart Nave, and Johnny Dickerson.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that contributions to assist with medical and final expenses be sent to the Mark Hyatt Memorial Fund; c/o Tina Lowrance; 463 Hartmantown Road; Jonesborough, TN 37659.
