William Ralph Long

Ralph Long, 83, of Hawkins County, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 20, 2009 after an extended illness. Ralph was born in Rogersville, TN on July 8, 1925 to the late Mary Jane and Beverly Long.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Ralph Long, Jr.; parents, Mary Jane and Beverly Long; sister, Bonnie Long Light; and brothers, Bruce and Drexel Long.

Ralph is survived by his son, Bobby Joe Long; a large and extended family; and a special niece, Ashley Crawford.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home - Fall Branch Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Dan Dolen officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Yankee Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Barnette, Mark Crawford, Richard Crawford, Doug Crawford, Mike Crawford, Andy Elliott, James Arnold, and James White. Honorary pallbearers will be James Crawford, Ronnie Crawford, Dwayne Crawford, Paul Crawford, and Brian Crawford.
