William Allan Lunsford

William Allan Lunsford, 45, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville on Sunday, April 15, 2007.

He was a loving husband and papaw, and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. God?s garden must be more beautiful because of the special angel he has called home.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, William Robert and Viola Steffey Lunsford.

Surviving are his loving wife of 12 years, Kathy Lynn Lunsford of the home; a stepdaughter, Amber Nash and husband, David Lee Nash Sr. and their children, Sierra and David Lee Nash Jr., all of Kingsport; a stepson, Anthony Roberts and wife, Becky, and their children, Ashley, T?iara, Hannah, and Hutch Roberts, all of Kingsport; two sisters, Dawne Myers of Kingsport and Amy Austin of Georgia; a special cousin, Danny Williams of Kingsport; and special friends, Tamara Ford and her son, Hunter, of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. James Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Roberts, Kenneth Dunn, Steve Gassman, Jeffery Bledsoe, James Cash, and Martin Roberts.

The family sends a special thanks to the staff in the MCCU at UT that cared for Allan and also to Calvin in the ICU at Johnson City Medical Center. Thanks to all my neighbors and friends and all who helped in this trying time.
