William David Manis, 50, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Kingsport where he had lived his entire life, David worked at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for 23 years as an Anesthesia Technician.
He attended Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church in Bristol.
David loved to ride his motorcycle, "tinker" with cars, and fish. He loved to play with his son, Nicholas and teach him things. David also loved playing with the family dog.
His father Jessee Manis and brother, Johnny Manis preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Katana Manis and son Nicholas Vanhook of the home; two sons, Brad Manis and Jeffrey Crawford, both of Kingsport of the home; his mother, Ellen Manis; two sisters, Joan Linda Ruth Manis and Kathy Cassidy and husband Tim, all of Kingsport; two brothers, Ed Manis of Paris, TN and Jack Manis and wife Sybil of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or anytime at the home.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Walter L. Statzer officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Rogersville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Sanford Lane, Charles Stacy, Ray Taylor, Mike Akers, Dave Roberts, and Troy Procter.
