William Thomas Petty
William Thomas Petty, 83, Kingsport, TN, went to be the Lord on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
His father, Tom Petty; mother, Annie Lee Petty; sister, Mary Champion; and brothers, Paul Petty and Johnny Petty preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughters, Lucrutia Petty, Ronda Stanley, and Evonne Petty; sons, Leon Petty, Johnny Petty and Carl Petty; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Ruthie Pace; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours are Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Mildred Osborne and Brother Donnie Ward officiating.
Graveside services will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Lawson, Ben Smith, Carl Petty, Johnny Petty, Justin Anderson, and Brian Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kip Hoyles, Leon Petty, and Hershel Ferrell.
The family would like to send at special thanks to Hershel and Lisa Ferrell and the entire Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center staff.
