William "Bill" Renye

William "Bill" Renyé, 70, of Kingsport, died Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 2009, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after having a stroke.

Mr. Renyé is survived by his wife, Valerie Maddox Renyé of the home; a daughter, Stephanie Glenn and husband Carter of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sons, William Renyé, III and wife Lisa of Winchester, KY, and Eric Renyé and wife Amy of Kingsport; nine grandchildren; a sister, Annamaria Vidákovics and husband Dr. Béla Vidákovics of Hungary; two brothers, Ivan Rényei and wife Ani and Ernö Rényei and wife Rosa, both of Hungary; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Friday, July 17, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services were held at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Lantz and Rev. Frank Chapo officiating.

There will be a visitation prior to the graveside service at the home of Charles Maddox, 16 Hill Street, Bath, SC Sunday, July 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, July 19 at 4:00 p.m. at the Vaucluse Cemetery in Vaucluse, SC. The family will receive family and friends after the service at the home of Charles Maddox.

Honorary pallbearers: William Renyé, John Eric Renyé, Carter Glenn, Ivan Rényei, Ernö Rényei, Dr. Béla Vidákovics, Charles Maddox, Bennie Davis, Donny Maddox, Chuck Maddox, Keith Maddox, and Hal Newman.

Military honors will be provided by the United States Army.
