Bill Shoaf, 89, Kingsport, formerly of Masontown, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Bristol Nursing Home.
Bill was a devoted Catholic, a loving father, grandfather, and uncle. He was also an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and loved camping. He retired after 37 years of service with Naval Service Weapons Center.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 50 years, Betty Shoaf; parents, William E. Shoaf, Sr. and Inez Shoaf; two sisters, Agnus Krelick and Lois Tippen; and one brother, Tate Shoaf.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Duva and husband Dean, Mt. Carmel; Sharon Carroll and husband David, Hickory, NC; and five grandchildren, Jenny, Dina, Dean, David, and Christin.
Calling hours are from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Charlie Burton officiating.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
