William Dean "Bill" Sluder

Bill Sluder, 78, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born in Johnson County, TN, he resided most of his life in Bristol, TN. Bill was a graduate of Johnson County High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Bill loved putting puzzles together and watching Tennessee Vols sports; but what he loved most of all was spending time with his family.

Mr. Sluder was predeceased in death by his wife, Mary Alice Sluder; his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Mary Ruth Sluder and his son, Tim Sluder and wife Georgianna; two grandsons, Zach Sluder and wife Grace and Joel Sluder; sister, Dee Behrens and several nieces and nephews.

The family will host a visitation on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, 2630 Hwy. 75, Blountville, TN. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Jim Boling and Pastor Todd Crusenberry. Burial will follow in Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park, in the Garden of Everlasting Life. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
