William "Will" McClure

William "Will" McClure

William "Will" McClure, of Kingsport, passed away doing what he loved, in a farming accident on Friday, June 10, 2016. He retired from the Sullivan County Highway Department following 15 years of service. Will attended Gospel Mission Church. He loved his farming and especially loved his family. Will's special joys in life were his two precious grandsons, Connor and Carson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Junior McClure, one brother, Walter McClure; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Carl Light.

Will is survived by his wife of 38 years, Freda McClure; one daughter, Bridget Watts and husband, Brian; two grandsons, Connor and Carson Watts; mother, Shelby Jean McClure; one brother, Danny McClure and wife, Lora Ann; one special nephew, Evan Light; several other nieces and nephews; and special dog, Spot.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch, or anytime at the home of his daughter, Bridget Watts. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Bro. Danny Dolen officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Morrison Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family. Honorary Pallbearers will be friends from the Sullivan County Highway Department and his farming buddies.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Mission Church Building Fund, 7469 Lone Star Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660.
