Willie Dean Gray, 80, of Fall Branch, went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Gray was a member of Fall Branch First Baptist Church. He retired from Holston Defense and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Jennie Gray; brother, Robert Gray; and sister, Mildred Stafford.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Gray of the home; three daughters, Gail Evans of Kingsport, Sue Stapleton and husband David of Kingsport, and Angelia Anderson and husband Jack of Church Hill; one son, Winford Gray of Kingsport; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three sisters, Shirley Shipley, Frances Miller, both of Kingsport, and Vandetta Gilley of Chattanooga; one brother, Samuel Gray of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Strickler and Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Brewer, Sean Jordan, Travis Jones, John Evans, Jason Evans, Jack Anderson, Darrin Brewer, Zachery Brewer, Shaman Jones, and Patrick Jones.
