Wilma J. Napier, 73, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Monday, June 16, 2008, at Indian Path Medical Center after an acute illness.
She was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, where she lived most of her life before moving to Kingsport in 2002. Mrs. Napier was a homemaker and a member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church.
Her husband, Steve Napier, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Glenda Shake and husband Jim of Blountville, Elaine Fife and husband Bob of Johnson City; three step-grandchildren, Kara, Ashley, Marcus and wife Amanda; two sisters-in-law, Mollie Lyttle of Noblesville, Indiana, May Ricker of St. Charles, Virginia; several nieces; one nephew; three aunts; and two uncles.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Wrye officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Thursday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Virginia. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
