He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. He had, also, served as Junior Deacon and President of the Brotherhood at Bloomingdale Baptist Church, years earlier.

Winfred was very proud to have donated the land for the location of the Washington County EMS in Fall Branch. It pleased him a great deal for the community to benefit from having an EMS in the area and to do so in the memory of his late wife, Nellie Stevens Fletcher.
