Winton Osborne Jr.

Winton Osborne, 83, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.  Born in Kingsport, he had lived in this area all his life.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He retired from Mead Paper. Winton had a passion for photography in which he won numerous awards over a 35 year span.  He enjoyed working with people and capturing memories for them to last a lifetime.  They attended Higher Ground Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winton and Drucilla Osborne.

Winton is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Frances Osborne; son, Barry Osborne; daughter, Anna Russell and husband, Steven; 3 grandchildren, Kelia, Makenzie and Mila; and sister, Norma Fadial and husband, Fred.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Gary Addington officiating. 

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park.  Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.
