W.P. "Pat" Nunley

W.P. "Pat" Nunley, 78, of Kingsport passed away Friday, June 05, 2009. He was retired from the Kingsport Press and served in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Higher Ground Baptist Church.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. W.T. Nunley and Effie Nunley; brothers Howard, Onnie and Bill; and sisters, Leona Parkinson and Margaret Reece.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann "Midge" Dallie Nunley; a daughter, Mary Ann Pendaris of Salisbury, NC; sons, Michael "Mike" Nunley of Kingsport and Ronnie Nunley of Rogersville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert L. Nunley of Columbus, OH, and Sam Nunley of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. James B. Field officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
