Zaine Raymond Lee Hite

Zaine Raymond Lee Hite, left us too soon on January 30, 2024, following an unexpected accident in his hometown of Kingsport, TN. Born in 2009, Zaine's 14 years on this earth were filled with laughter, creativity, and an abundance of snack foods that somehow never impacted his eternally slim figure. A freshman at Dobyns-Bennett High School, he had a knack for technology, editing anything from videos to music with the finesse of a seasoned pro. His hair was his crown, and he wore it with the pride of a king, always ensuring every strand was in its rightful place.

On the football field, Zaine was a force to be reckoned with. Off the field, he was a lover of music and food. Zaine's love for food was legendary; pizza, wings, you name it—if it was bad for you, he was all over it. His late-night gaming sessions were an open secret, with the creaking of his bedroom floorboards above his mamaw’s room serving as a nightly lullaby.

Zaine was learning to cut hair from his sister-in-law Kaylee and was showing promise as a stylist. He was a "natural born hustler.” He was mature beyond his years, and his loyalty to his family was as deep-rooted as the mountains surrounding Kingsport. Zaine was creative, funny, and adventurous—a trifecta of traits that made him the life of every party and the heart of every adventure. His opinions were as strong as his will, and he never shied away from a good debate or a playful argument.

Zaine is preceded in death by his father, Shaun Hite; and great-grandparents, James Thompson, Raymond Williams, & Thelma Anderson.

Zaine's family was his world. He leaves behind a loving mother, Shenia Davis, and stepdad, Tequarius Davis. His father, Anthony Williams; brothers, Damian Ewing (Kaylee Malone), Xavier Hite (Alana Lindsey), and Jaden Davidson (Kaylei Catherman); grandparents, David Thompson, Savonna Armstrong, Marjorie Thompson, Nancy Peck (Joey), and Tyrone Anderson; uncle, Josh Thompson; aunts, Destiney Powers (Levi) and aunt Grace Anderson. Zaine will be especially missed by his girlfriend, Ally Simpson. His special cousins, Jake Ray and Chris Moon, and several other cousins, will no doubt miss the light he brought into their lives. And let's not forget Ethan Repass, his best friend and partner in crime, who will carry on Zaine's legacy.

The family will receive friends from 4pm – 7pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Pastor Bob Underwood officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Hite Cemetery.
