Zalia Atlee Chase Crussell, 86 of Kingsport, passed away February 23, 2021. She was born February 21, 1935, a daughter of the late R.C. “Doc” and Bessie Chase. Zalia was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven sisters, Kathleen Chase, Frances (Eugene) Ward, Marie Chase, Polly (Hubert) Quillen, Carrie (Junior) Williams, Winnie (Harold) Holder, and Margaret (Raymond) Strickler; and brother, James (Lois) Chase.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Paul E. Crussell; son, Bryan Crussell and wife Cindy of Kingsport; daughter, Belinda Grim and husband Mike of Church Hill; five grandchildren, Courtney Crussell and fiancé Tyler Norris, Chelsie Crussell, Carter Grim, Lauren Sullivan and husband MJ, and Megan McCann and husband Josh; great-grandchild, Amelia McCann; brother-in-law, Roy Crussell and wife Bernell of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Martha Crussell of Johnson City; special friend, Marie Byington; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, 215 Heroes Dr., Mountain Home, TN, with Pastor Paul Warrick officiating.
