Zane "Pappy" Lady

Zane “Pappy” Lady, of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Kingsport, he had resided in Fall Branch for his entire life. Zane was a Vietnam Veteran having served on the USS Shasta AE-33 with the United States Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. Zane was retired from Eastman Chemical following 40 years of service.

Zane was preceded in death by his parents, Carmel and Freddie Lady; brother, Alan Lady; nephew, Marcus Lady; special dog, Harvey.

Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Nancy Lady; sons, David Lady and wife Summer, Daniel Lady and wife Mary; special grandson, Callum Lady; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Janice Wilson; niece, Scarlett Nelms and husband Donny; great-niece, Annabelle Nelms; special dog, MayMay; and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Allen Brummett officiating.  Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
