Zdravko Simikic

Zdravko Simikic, 32, of Fall Branch, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, with his parents and sister by his side, following a lengthy illness.

He was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and attended ETSU. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant.

He is survived by his parents, Nedjo and Beba Simikic of Fall Branch, TN; sister, Dr. Biljana Simikic and husband, Dr. Mark Jankowske of Northampton, MA; niece, Helena Jankowske of Northampton, MA; nephew, Alexander Jankowske of Northampton, MA; paternal grandmother, Jela Simikic of Bosnia; extended families, Simikic, Radojcic, Prelovac, Vuletic, Djuranovic and Omerovic; and many more friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12-2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Father Stephen Matthews officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Rites will be by American Legion Posts 3/265. Pallbearers will be American Legion members.
